I remember

at an earlier instant in my timeline, when I reflected on the idea of death, the end of my earthly existence, there was no presence of fear. There only existed an unequivocal yearning for life in the Heavens. It was at a time when innocence was my best friend and worldly knowledge was a remote angel of death. I had no substantive guilt or shame; I was young and naive. But in this existential moment, I have nothing but fear.
